About

From 1998 through 2002 I was the Marketing Manager at Asia Pacific Post, hired from outside of posts via Australia Post to serve 37 countries in Asia Pacific. My mission was to assist members with market intelligence, best practices sharing, and getting access to information both from within and outside Asia in not just posts but in the Courier and Express markets as well.

From 2002 to 2003 I was Regional Business Development Director, Middle East and South Asia for Western Union, for whom 40% of the retail network is post offices.

In 2003 through 2004, I saw much action as Regional Key Account Director Asia Pacific and Middle East for DHL Global Mail. I successfully negotiated the Yamato Transport – Deutsche Post collaboration agreement (non-exclusive). I oversaw the launch of the Yamato International Mail Hub in Narita and worked on accounts that covered Australia, China, Hong Kong, and Japan as well as the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.

In recent years, I have worked as Senior Strategy Consultant to Japan Post and have contributed to multinational task forces with representatives from Australia, China, Spain, France, the UK, US, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, and Singapore looking into cross-border e-commerce strategies and solutions.

I created this site so that I can offer useful links to news and views on the international posts, courier, and express logistics markets with an Asian perspective.
